Dev rebuilds Warcraft 3 tower defense with Claude Code, launching free beta
vidiclol · reddit · 2026-10-22
A developer launched Towers of Aurum, a free browser co-op tower defense game rebuilt from Warcraft 3 custom maps like Green TD, made with Claude Code — his second Claude-built game after Neon Mile (7,000 players). Key lessons: make the first run the tutorial; good games teach themselves via players; Claude Code handled engine, multiplayer, balancing, testing and all code-drawn art while the author set vision and rules. Four races, each with unique towers and a rule-twist, beta live at towersofaurum.com.
