Randall Platt's lab at ETH Zurich published the "recordanelle" in Nature Biotechnology — a synthetic organelle enabling transcriptome-wide single-cell RNA recording in human cells, letting cells record their own history. It tackles a long-standing measurement problem: past cellular states are generally hard to capture.
