Microsoft Research's WildAWM synthesizes computer-use environments to train agents
MicrosoftResearch · hf · 2026-10-22
WildAWM from UNC, Microsoft Research and collaborators is a scalable pipeline that synthesizes controllable environments and tasks for training general computer-use agents. Unlike single-interface approaches, its environments jointly cover GUIs, MCP services, and command-line interfaces, letting agents combine visual interaction, tool use, and code execution. The pipeline runs entirely on open-source models, and agents trained with it improve out-of-distribution performance across web, CLI, and GUI benchmarks.
