Agents are the next sales channel — and MCP is how they buy
Corridl · reddit · 2026-10-22
The author argues agents are the next sales channel: when a user says 'get my team a PM tool,' the agent will pick the product it can actually talk to — list plans, sign up, pay. 'SEO for agents' (llms.txt, structured docs) solves discovery but not usability. MCP beats CLIs for non-technical users: paste one URL and it works across Claude/ChatGPT on desktop, web, and phone. Value flows both ways — customer agents buying, and your agents running sales/support. Since most small companies won't host their own MCP server (auth, permissions, audit logs), the author built a free tool that connects to your existing API and spins up a hosted MCP server on your own domain in seconds, with scoped permissions and destructive actions off by default.
