New symmetric Venn diagrams with 17, 19 and 23 curves found via AI-assisted search, breaking 2014 record

Chris Dzoba's paper exhibits simple, rotationally symmetric Venn diagrams with 17, 19 and 23 curves, breaking the record of 13 curves known since 2014. The method: a Metropolis walk on rotation-invariant quadrangulations of the sphere, starting from the Griggs-Killian-Savage diagram with multiple crossings resolved. At 23 curves the walk stalled for two weeks on duplicated regions near the poles. Every diagram comes with a machine-checkable certificate, and three were formally verified in Lean 4. The discovery involved two AI models communicating with each other; the resulting image is dubbed "The Eye of God."
