The AI Now Institute released a conversation between former FTC Chair Lina Khan and author Anand Giridharadas on governing AI, recorded at the People's AI Assembly co-hosted with More Perfect Union.
Khan argues AI companies don't get a free pass, calling the AI exceptionalism rampant today "ludicrous" — the industry should face the same governance and accountability as any other, not dodge regulation by pleading the technology is too new or complex.
