ETH researcher vibe-codes SuperMimic reproduction in 1 hour, LAFAN training in 1.5 GPUh

Chong Zhang (ETH Zurich) released an unofficial open-source reproduction of SuperMimic (arXiv 2610.28480, humanoid whole-body control with one differentiable world model), implemented from scratch since no official code exists. Highlights: vibe-coded in 1 hour with an AI coding assistant on Isaac Lab 3 (kit-less, MuJoCo-Warp); reproduces the paper's Fig. 4a controlled experiment with 40 G1-retargeted LAFAN1 clips (2.45h) on a single GPU, passing within 1.5 GPU-hours (the paper hits 0.82 normalized return in 1.2h on an H100). The author jokingly calls the code unreviewed "slop" and deliberately keeps it outside any lab org.
