SCOUT Adapts Sim-Trained Robot Policies to the Real World in a Few Trials

davheld · x · 2026-10-22

Introducing SCOUT (CoRL 2026): test-time policy adaptation from action-outcome feedback. Robots often can't see the physics they act under — hidden mass, friction, kinematic constraints — and scalar rewards only say "failed." SCOUT leverages action outcomes instead: policies trained in sim adapt in the real world within a few tries.
