'Boss of superintelligence': agent autonomously debugs CI, asks permission for computer use
McDonaghMatthew · x · 2026-10-22
Matthew McDonagh shares a chat with his agent "Ember": the agent diagnosed that a failing test was caused by an expired hard-coded date in the test fixture (not app logic), kept product review green, and when offered computer use to speed things up, replied "You don't need to return to the office" — it would first check whether explicit permission lets it complete the remaining browser step via computer use without bypassing any security block. A glimpse of a boundary-aware autonomous coding agent at work.
