Builder rebuilds TikTok slideshow pipeline with Hermes Agent on a $5 server

A Reddit post recounts how developer Alex Nguyen rebuilt his TikTok slideshow content pipeline on a $5 Hetzner server using Hermes Agent, replacing the usual queue-plus-worker stack.
- Every stage (hook research, image sourcing, gathering, slide assembly, captions, publishing) is a "skill" — a markdown file the agent loads on demand
- Each stage runs as its own cron job reading the previous stage's output; the agent created the whole chain itself from a single chat
- Claude handles thinking steps (hooks, captions), photos come from Pinterest, and slide assembly is a plain deterministic Python script — no LLM call, no cost
- Final stage pushes everything to Postiz (open source or SaaS) as TikTok drafts
