Claude User Burns Weekly Limit in 3 Days, Weighs Max5 vs a Second Pro Account
Why-are-you-geh · reddit · 2026-10-21
A Claude user says they hit the weekly limit just 3 days after reset, typically two 5-hour limits a day. They use chat for concept design and constraint checks (light usage), then build with Claude Code, and rely heavily on cloud sessions so the cloud can pull the latest repo and work while the laptop handles heavier local tasks.
The key concern is cloud sessions: once a cloud task hits the limit, they cannot continue with another Pro account unless they upgrade to Max, whereas locally they can just switch accounts. They do not yet earn from Claude, have several side projects and non-one-off usage, and ask whether Max5 is worth it, noting they already know Max5 is not 5x the weekly limit.
