Thousands of GPT-Rosalind Agents Compress Months of Biology Analysis into 32 Minutes

OpenAI, PerturbAI and Scripps Research deployed thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents to analyze data from millions of mouse brain cells in 32 minutes—work estimated to take humans months to a year. The run surfaced promising brain-disease leads, including a potential link between cholesterol metabolism and neuronal function.
UCSF's Tomasz Nowakowski: "Sometimes the clues are already there, scattered across different fields—we just haven't connected them," calling the cholesterol-neuron link a new way to think about disease biology.
