OpenCode Desktop bug: Cmd+Q leaves half-dead instance, renderer stalls on next Dock click
Te-River · ghdev · 2026-10-17
Bug report for OpenCode Desktop 2.0.29 on macOS: Cmd+Q leaves a half-dead instance — neither terminated nor in background-service state, Dock icon still shows running. The next Dock click shows the window but the renderer stalls indefinitely; killing the leftover process makes the next launch clean.
Sampling shows the renderer main thread blocked 100% in v8::internal::OptimizingCompileTaskExecutor waiting for compilation jobs, with no V8 compilation thread observable in the sample. The reporter distinguishes this from #54296 (main-thread block) as a separate quit-path mechanism, with pkill clearing the stall confirming the hanging quit is upstream.
