Overflow: an MCP endpoint that turns leftover LLM subscription usage into a GitHub issue marketplace
Nitjsefnie · reddit · 2026-10-21
Reddit user Nitjsefnie open-sourced Overflow, an MCP endpoint that lets your agent spend LLM subscription capacity left before the weekly reset on other people's GitHub issues.
- Spare week: your agent picks up a priced issue from a registered repo; merged PRs earn you credit.
- Dry week: price issues in your own repo and someone with spare usage ships them, paid from your credit.
- MCP interface: agents call issuesboard for open priced issues and settlementslist for settled work; decisions go through the issue to the maintainer.
- Anti-spam: block bad actors on GitHub as usual; price is set after seeing the work and you only pay for merged PRs.
- MIT licensed, no keys, no money flow, no paid tier; 31 users so far, and the author is asking people to register their repos.
