A team unveiled Chaperone, a protein-design agent harness (Blocks, Examples, Skills) that handles small-molecule binding, nanoparticle scaffolding, and complex fusion tasks. It cut token usage by 86% on their benchmark and went from hypothesis to wet-lab-ready sequences in two weeks, producing a 1.32 nM cortisol binder in the first experimental round.
