Menlo open-sources Asimov 1, a buildable humanoid robot for agentic robotics with full BOM

Menlo Research open-sourced Asimov 1, a humanoid robot built from off-the-shelf parts for agents to embody, with repo and build manual released.
Backstory: they started with a Unitree G1 to build an agent-to-robot ecosystem, but found the hardware proprietary, parts custom, and every repair routed through the manufacturer. Their thesis: if agents will live in homes, their bodies must be understandable part-by-part, repairable, and with an inspectable safety layer.
Asimov 1 ships with a full bill of materials, and everything is open: CAD, communication SDK, the Edge safety layer, the locomotion policy, and training code. It walks; much remains unsolved, and the team's next focus is the agent layer. They invite others to build, fork, or push any open robot further.
