Elon Musk says Neuralink's Blindsight vision implant is coming soon, capable of restoring sight even for people who are completely blind by writing directly to the visual cortex. The first version will offer low-resolution vision, but the long-term goal is high-resolution multispectral perception — infrared, ultraviolet, even radar — which Musk describes as a "superpower situation".
