PingCAP confirms breach of internal systems as leaked TiDB data surfaces online
SumitGup · x · 2026-10-21
PingCAP officially confirmed unauthorized access to some of its internal systems, saying containment measures were taken and independent cybersecurity firms engaged, with no evidence that user data stored in TiDB was impacted.
However, a third-party account claims TiDB was "absolutely pillaged" in the hack and that all its data is being released publicly, directly contradicting the company's statement. The incident is worth watching as the investigation continues.
