Dev open-sources optimAIzr after finding 56% of AI coding costs go to re-reading context

A senior software engineer analyzed his AI coding tool transcripts and found 56% of API-equivalent costs went to re-reading context. Cache expiry cost him $98.74 across 35 cold sessions in 27 days, versus $2.95 with a warm cache.
He built and open-sourced optimAIzr to address this, supporting Claude Code, Codex, and opencode:
- Analyzes usage locally, no account or prompt uploads
- Flags expensive patterns and surfaces optimization opportunities
- Install via npm i -g optimaizr; 120 GitHub stars already
