Ampersand v0.1 Ships via Agent API: Hosted Sessions, OpenAI-Client Compatible
gharik · x · 2026-10-21
humans& has released Ampersand v0.1 through its agent API, targeting developers building apps where people collaborate with each other.
- Core abstractions: an Agent (model, instructions, tools), a Session (saved conversation plus a copy of agent settings, reusable by ID without resending history), Turns triggered by input, and Events for inputs and progress updates.
- The API is compatible with the official OpenAI Python client: create sessions via sessions.create(agent=..., input=...), send later messages and tool results via sessions.events.create(...), and read events over SSE.
- Model name is ampersand-v0.1; docs cover pricing, limits, and API-key handling.
