AI-Native Companies Are All Wrestling With Agent UI Design, Says LukeW
LukeW · x · 2026-10-21
Luke Wroblewski observes that every AI-native company is wrestling with the UI needs of agentic software, including:
- Tracking what's happening across many agents running in parallel
- Showing what got done by agents
- Keeping design coherent via agent instructions
- Multi-player collaboration mixing people and agents
- Asset creation tools for agent workflows
He adds, prompted by @Wattenberger, that window management is another pain point—everyone is experimenting with tabs, panels, canvases and sidebars, effectively rethinking the shape of SaaS itself.
