C-RL-trained 27B model becomes strongest collaborator in 21 of 24 settings
shangbinfeng · x · 2026-10-21
Results from the C-RL work: a 27B policy trained alongside 3 larger frozen collaborators, tested across 3 protocols × 8 tasks:
- Strongest collaborator in the system in 21/24 settings, +4.0–5.4 pts on average (3x baselines)
- The only method that never left the system worse off
- Transfers to unseen tasks/protocols and boosts pools containing GPT-5.5, Gemini, and Claude
