Apple Reminders MCP server taps private ReminderKit framework for native tags and subtasks
hhhanxf · reddit · 2026-10-21
A developer built an MCP server for Apple Reminders that bypasses AppleScript/EventKit and calls ReminderKit directly, exposing native tags, subtasks, smart lists and shared-list assignment. It features version-checked writes to avoid overwriting edits, TCC permission handling, 31-day deleted-reminder restore, and 121 end-to-end tests. Requires macOS 26+ on Apple silicon; private framework dependence may break on updates.
