AI bubble author clarifies: legit ROI use cases, but heavy users are all inside the AI ecosystem
menhguin · x · 2026-10-21
A follow-up to the "ARR Ouroboros" thread: the author argues the revenue sustainability issue isn't manipulation or incompetence — these are legit positive-ROI use cases with nothing fraudulent.
- The real issue is that only a very small demographic currently finds value in heavy AI usage, and they all happen to work in or around AI
- That may be why labs are trying to diversify beyond SWE into other domains
- Because LLMs are inherently versatile, what look like separate businesses (sales tools, labs, data) form a highly correlated ecosystem, often with the same funders
