Caltech-led paper uses AI to predict tipping points in climate and turbulence models
AnimaAnandkumar · x · 2026-10-21
A new Caltech-led paper demonstrates that an AI program can predict when tipping points occur in simple models, including models of a climate-change system and simulations of turbulent airflow over a plane's wing. The AI-for-Science work could help provide early warning of sudden system shifts.
