PyTorch Conference 2026 kicked off in San Jose with PyTorch Foundation's Mark Collier opening Day 1: "Accelerating Open Intelligence Together," envisioning open source software to train and serve any model on any chip in any cloud. The Day 1 program spans continuous learning, systems programming, distributed infrastructure, hardware integration, AI accelerator enablement, and production-scale inference. The foundation welcomed Nebius and Nscale as new Platinum members, and Shopify's Cody Mazza-Anthony presented on how production feeds back into model improvement.
