How Anthropic reviews Claude Code changes: machines do the reading, humans handle risk tiers
rseroter · x · 2026-10-21
How Anthropic runs code review for Claude Code: review isn't removed—machines do most of the reading, optimized for human time and attention, with heavy investment in fast undo. The pipeline: Claude runs tests/build/lint plus a second-agent review before PR; required CI; parallel agent code review with verifier voting ranked by severity; a separate security review; risk-based approval where a classifier sets whether 0, 1, or 2 humans sign off (some paths always require a person); then merge queue, feature-flag gradual release to internal employees first, and watch/fix-forward/rollback after merge.
