Dev replaces Google Vision with Claude-based Clairic: 48/49 fields correct at $0.001/scan
MicahBerkley · x · 2026-10-21
Developer MicahBerkley pushed Anthropic's Clairic to production, fully replacing his Google Vision integration for high-speed mail scanning. Benchmark on 7 envelopes: 48 of 49 address fields correct (the one miss flagged by low 0.57 confidence), 6/6 tenant checks matched despite spelling variants, 0.77s median latency vs Gemini's 1.06s, and $0.001 per scan. He predicts it will reshape lead-gen, legal, and OCR.
