Steam needs real quality control on AI slop, not an AI art ban, argues designer

Responding to calls for Valve to outright ban AI art in games, AIandDesign argues for a middle ground: Steam is indeed flooded with AI slop, but a blanket ban would be a catastrophic business decision.
Instead, Valve should drop the performative "AI disclosure" labels and implement actual quality control — reject low-effort slop at submission. Apple already does this on the App Store, where bad apps simply don't get approved.
