Cognition and National Design Studio announced American Forge, a six-month residency recruiting elite engineers to modernize US federal digital infrastructure. The federal government runs over 29,000 legacy websites. The program leans on Devin-based agentic engineering, claiming adopter teams have already cleared code-modernization backlogs, with the goal of making services from the DMV to the IRS work as smoothly as top Silicon Valley startups.
