Google ready to invest up to $40B in Anthropic, pending conditions

Per a roundup post, Google is prepared to invest up to $40 billion in Anthropic, with the investment tied to conditions. If completed it would be one of the largest minority AI investments ever, deepening the Google–Anthropic cloud and model tie-up. The same roundup notes Google has opened Gemini 4 Argon to all developers, enterprises and subscribers.
