Ex-Nvidia DreamZero team raises $90M seed, opens Dream-1 robot model API

DreamLabs, founded by former Nvidia DreamZero robotics researchers, has emerged with a $90M seed round and opened an API for its robot foundation model Dream-1.
- Capability: Dream-1 can control previously unseen dual-arm parallel-jaw robots without target-robot training data; the site shows 27 unseen-robot simulations and 21 real-robot demos.
- Benchmark: It scores 59.3% average task success on Robocurve's RoboDojo-RC Tier1, ranking first among published configurations.
- Pricing: $3/hour for Dream-1 and $2/hour for Dream-1-flash, with a fine-tuning service when zero-shot performance falls short.
- Approach: Built on the WorldActionModel (WAM) line from Nvidia, predicting both future frames and actions. The model outputs gripper position, orientation and open/close state, leaving inverse kinematics to each robot, which enables cross-embodiment transfer. It remains limited to dual-arm parallel grippers and does not control full arm trajectories.
- Team: YouLiangTan, JoelJang, ScottReed and Yunhao Ge serve as CEO, Chief Scientist, CTO and Chief Robot Officer, largely the original Nvidia robotics team.
- Funding: Led by B Capital with Kindred Ventures, A.Capital, Unusual Ventures, SV Angel and others; proceeds mainly go to compute.
