Context.dev raises $9M led by General Catalyst to give AI agents one API for web data

Context.dev announced a $9M funding round led by General Catalyst, with Orange Collective and Robinhood Ventures participating, serving 800+ customers.
The product bundles everything an agent needs to access the live web into a single API:
- Feed it a URL and get clean page text back
- Search, crawl entire sites, look up company data
- Monitor pages for changes
Rohan Paul, who reshared it, argues this is the kind of upgrade agents need more than a new model: most agent pipelines end up paying 3-4 vendors (scraping, search, company data, monitoring) plus glue code, while Context.dev unifies it under one key and one bill.
