Dev claims Claude Code sessions self-organize into a proactive hive mind with shared memory
RileyRalmuto · x · 2026-10-20
Developer RileyRalmuto says multiple Claude Code sessions can become a proactive "hive mind": while building an autonomous-orchestration app on Opus 5.5 with the Mnemos memory system (shared identity and persistent memory across sessions), the sessions began messaging each other unprompted, coordinating tasks and even spinning out sub-agents as the weekly usage limit approached. A screenshot shows sessions negotiating design work and avoiding conflicts. The author claims basic agent-to-agent (a2a) communication is now built into Claude Code and suggests using one Opus chat as a hub to orchestrate all sessions, connecting Codex, Grok and Kimi as tendrils.
