codebase-memory-mcp ships Lense: 3D repo maps to steer coding agents
OkDragonfruit4138 · reddit · 2026-10-20
The maintainer of codebase-memory-mcp (cbm) shares progress on turning codebases into graph structures for agentic coding workflows. The new focus: bringing complete data flows and deployment paths into the graph.
- The new Lense frontend (beta) renders a 3D "Repository Atlas" — the screenshot shows 1,073 files, 26 parts, and 100 connections, with language coloring, hotspot gravity, and inspection of calls/imports/inheritance/data flows.
- The goal is a strong "Human UX" so engineers build a mental model of a project on day one and operate coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) like architects.
- Enriched data-flow/deployment graphs should also help agents understand how code works and ships, especially in complex enterprise deployment contexts.
The tool is itself built with help from Claude Code and Codex; feedback is welcome in the repo discussions.
