First Arm AGI CPU benchmarks show 1.99x per-rack performance vs AMD EPYC 9755

Signal65 published the first independent modeled benchmarks for Arm's AGI CPU across seven agentic and enterprise workloads, from MySQL to SWE-bench.
- Per chip, the AGI CPU wins five of seven workloads, losing MySQL and Milvus to AMD's EPYC 9755
- The real story is the rack: Arm servers draw 950–1,050 W vs 1,700 W for EPYC 9755, so 21–23 fit in a 24 kW rack versus 13 x86 servers
- Average modeled performance is 1.99x per rack (1.43x–3.19x by workload); SWE-bench scales from 1.13x per chip to 2.00x per rack
Analyst Patrick Moorhead says this validates his mid-2025 call that agentic inference puts CPU performance-per-watt back at the center. The methodology was published at the OpenCompute Project Global Summit.
