Cloudflare MCP Server adds step-up auth: agents request scopes on demand
irvinebroque · x · 2026-10-20
Cloudflare's MCP Server now supports step-up auth: agents start with only the minimum required scopes and request additional permissions on demand as a task requires them. A demo screenshot shows Claude hitting an "Allow additional access to continue" prompt when attempting to delete a Workers script via the connector, requiring manual Connect before proceeding. The feature is available now in all supported MCP clients, a practical implementation of least-privilege for MCP agent workflows.
