Dream Labs emerges from stealth with Dream-1 robot foundation model, API live at $3/hour

Dream Labs, co-founded by Ge Yunhao, Yoel Jang, Scott Reed and Youliang Tan, is out of stealth and has launched Dream-1, a general-purpose robot foundation model.
Key points:
- Dream-1 controls bimanual robots it has never seen, on tasks it was never shown, in places it has never been
- The team's World Action Models (WAM) approach learns from videos of the world and acts on that understanding, betting that scale, the right architecture and data yield a general-purpose robot brain across robots, tasks and environments
- The Dream API is live for everyone today at $3/hour, aiming to give anyone a general robot brain via a single API call
