Agents handle unreleased language Jai flawlessly, even compile-time execution

Lucas Meijer says doing an AI-agent rewrite firsthand is a very different experience from reading about one: "I'm still sort of shaken up." Key finding: agents have zero problems with Jai, an unreleased language absent from any training weights, happily using even its esoteric features like compile-time code execution. A strong counterexample to the assumption that models can only handle languages well-represented in training data — frontier agents can pick up brand-new tech stacks on the fly.
