Dream Labs Emerges From Stealth With Dream-1 Robot Foundation Model, API at $3/Hour

Dream Labs, co-founded six months ago by Yoel Jang, Scott Reed and others, came out of stealth with Dream-1, a robot foundation model with a public API live today at $3/hour.
The motivation: three years after the early RT-X demos, getting a robot foundation model to work on your own robot still usually means collecting data and fine-tuning — generalizing across tasks and robots remains one of the hardest problems in robot learning.
Dream-1 controls bimanual robots with parallel grippers on tasks, robots and places it was never shown. It's a research beta that makes mistakes and breaks things; the team invites developers to test it and report where it falls short.
