Signalman23 · x · 2026-10-20
Developer Muzzammil's open-source project dumbtv shipped a major update adding YouTube ads and Shorts blocking for smart TVs. The pitch: no spying, no TV ads, fully customizable — setup is just pointing your coding agent at the repo. Traction: 420 GitHub stars, 600k+ X views, 12 merged PRs, and 100+ users have already cleaned up their TVs. The promo video was made with Opus 5.5.
