Indie Dev Shows How a Polite AI-Agent Email Landed a Same-Day Press Link
jamesbrooksco · x · 2026-10-20
Indie developer James Brooks shared his PR playbook for the GAIL's Effect property-data site: 50 short targeted pitches via email and X DM, each opening with the reporter's local number, with AI doing much of the drafting. When the first article named but didn't link the site, his Hermes agent sent a 150-word polite email asking for a link framed as helping readers — added the same day. His take: most links are nofollow, so chase coverage (referral traffic, brand mentions, press credibility), not dofollow links.
