The Sane AI Code Review Loop: Two Agents, Automated Checks, Human Fallback
TheZachMueller · x · 2026-10-19
Boris Tane shared (and Zach Mueller boosted) a flowchart of "the only sane code review loop" for AI coding agents.
The pipeline: an agent generates code → self-verifies → a second agent reviews → automated checks run. If everything passes, it ships. On failure:
- Resolvable issues loop back to code generation for fixes
- Novel issues escalate to human review, whose findings feed back into generation
The core idea: let multiple AI layers catch most problems automatically and only escalate genuinely new issues to humans, minimizing manual review load.
