MCIO riser flaw: GPUs sag off the bus — DIY 3D-printed bracket incoming
TheZachMueller · x · 2026-10-19
Developer TheZachMueller hit a flaw while mounting multiple GPUs with MCIO risers: gravity pulls the cards off the bus, so he's improvising with rubber bands for now.
His fix: 3D-print a retention bracket in PETG with a locking mechanism for easy removal — four pegs on the bottom slot into the riser while the top wraps over the GPU. A metal support bar underneath was considered but there's no room. A useful gotcha for anyone running GPUs vertically on risers.
