xTerra Robotics' Dhav-Hy wheeled quadruped was tested on Bengaluru footpaths and billed as India's most advanced wheeled quadruped. It navigates stairs, ramps and uneven terrain using robust locomotion policies — entirely without vision; the robot has no cameras — and stays upright when kicked, stood on, or shoved.
Key specs:
- 23 kg, climbs steps up to 35 cm
- Traverses 45-degree slopes
- 80 Nm peak joint torque
- Top speed 5 m/s (18 km/h)
- 10+ kg payload across all terrains
The team says adding its vision stack will make it more capable, and it's pitching last-mile delivery companies to test the tech.
