AVC-Reward: an event-centric framework for evaluating audio-video generation consistency
ZhejiangUniversity · hf · 2026-10-19
Researchers from Zhejiang University, HiThink, and Fudan introduce AVC-Reward, addressing evaluation gaps in joint audio-video generation. As generators handle multi-event composition, multi-layer audio mixtures, and asymmetric cross-modal relations, legacy whole-clip metrics from simpler unidirectional tasks no longer suffice.
The framework disentangles audio and visual events at the event level, analyzes each independently, cross-validates relations across modalities, and aggregates into a coarse-to-fine three-level consistency metric covering global narrative harmony, event-level temporal synchronization, and fine-grained attribute alignment, instantiated as a trainable audio-video reward model.
