Animator uses image models as fast style tests, concludes hand-drawing wins

Animator and YouTuber Sean Ward shared his early workflow on THE GRAND OPENING: he fed character reference images to an image model with multiple style descriptions, producing several viable looks — which made clear the specific style he wanted required drawing everything by hand. Laurence Moroney calls this a smart use: run five quick style explorations with an image model, then write one sentence on what each misses for your story, before starting your next animated piece.
