Ben Horowitz: OpenAI and Anthropic threaten almost every public equity
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-10-19
On the All-In Podcast, a16z co-founder Ben Horowitz argued that almost no public company sits outside the blast radius of OpenAI and Anthropic: "Whatever you're holding in the equity markets, OpenAI and Anthropic are threats to that. There's almost nothing in a portfolio those two companies don't threaten." Their product is intelligence, and intelligence underpins every business.
Chamath added the market angle: beyond these two companies there is little else investable to be long AI, so they will capture the lion's share of investor interest.
