Bot-Interface: one /.well-known/bi.md file tells AI agents your site's APIs
natesiggard · x · 2026-10-19
An open-source spec (Apache 2.0) called Bot-Interface lets a website publish a single /.well-known/bi.md file so AI agents know the site, its APIs, and how to call them — instead of clicking through human-facing forms. The file combines YAML frontmatter with Markdown listing each HTTP call as a tool: method, path, read/write, when to use it, and how, plus completion and error-handling notes. Cheap to adopt: one file per site.
