Accenture caps employee Claude spend at $29/month, some previously burned $1,000

Per 404 Media, Accenture has told many employees the company will now spend only $29 per person per month on Claude. Some affected employees had been using up to $1,000 monthly and are scrambling to maintain access.
The cap is a snapshot of a wider pattern: companies that invested heavily in AI tools are now curbing usage as employees burn through tokens rapidly. There's irony in Accenture doing so while urging clients to invest heavily in AI.
